| myGlobalJunkyard.com - About Us | ||
Steve Braithwaite, a British expat now living in Michigan USA, has always been an avid hotrod builder. He has spent many, many hours digging through junkyards looking for the seats from a Pontiac Fierro or the steering column from an early Chevy van. His current project is a 1931 Ford Model A coupe that he intends to “hotrod,” and then drive around the world!
While driving local neighborhoods in his now home state of Michigan, he noticed that it seemed as though almost every home had a junk vehicle of some sort sitting in the weeds behind a barn or overgrown in a hedgerow. The owners of these vehicles would, in all likelihood, be reluctant to sell them, but they might, however, be happy to sell certain parts. Being a Web designer, Steve decided to put his two interests together - - hotrods and the internet -- and after enlisting the help of fellow Web craftsman Steve Myers, they organized a team of internet experts and built the site, myGLOBALJunkyard.com. The plan is for myGLOBALJunkyard.com to become a worldwide database of used vehicle parts of all kinds, not just used auto parts, but tractors, motorcycles, snowmobiles, bulldozers, in fact anything mechanical for which someone else might need parts. Membership with myGLOBALJunkyard.com is free and it’s free to search for parts. The fee to register a vehicle in the myGLOBALJunkyard.com database is $10. The owner of the vehicle sets the price they charge for the various parts and could conceivably make their money back on the first part sold. Because myGLOBALJunkyard.com is such a new idea, THE FIRST 20,000 VEHICLES CAN BE REGISTERED FOR FREE! This is to help build a huge database of vehicles.
